British royal family news divulges that Queen Elizabeth allegedly thought her ardent admirer, President Elect Donald Trump, was rude. Trump has made no bones about his admiration for the woman who served as regent for 70 years.
However, one source insists that the “late monarch did indeed find the US president-elect disrespectful.” Keep reading to discover what the former POTUS allegedly did to earn such disfavor.
Royal Family News – Trump Loves the Late Queen
A source told the Daily Mail that the rude incident occurred during involved Trump’s 2018 visit to the UK with his wife, Melania when apparently Trump said a snide comment about the Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret.
Margaret died in 2002 and Trump is rumored to have said that she was “a difficult sister.” The source claims that the regent was “very annoyed with this remark, which she viewed as ignorant and hurtful. She always defended Margaret to the hilt.”

Except that the late queen was not exactly sisterly all of the time. She infamously forbid Margaret from marrying the man of her choice, which some say led to the younger woman’s downfall.
It’s reported that Trump may have based his opinion after viewing the Netflix hit, The Crown. That flick “portrayed Margaret as rebellious, volatile and resentful of her elder sister.”
The series revisited the Queen’s opposition to Margaret marrying divorced Peter Townsend. Margaret was a spare like Prince Harry and it’s hard not to wonder how she would have handled this situation in the 21st century.
Royal Family News – Margaret Obeyed Elizabeth
Craig Brown’s book, A Voyage Around The Queen, claims more evidence that the Queen disliked Trump. He asserts that the late monarch disliked the way Trump looked over her shoulder “in search of others more interesting.”
Even more damning, she reportedly wondered if he and Melania had “some sort of arrangement.” But Trump denounced this conjecture, telling the outlet that he “heard I was her favourite president. I had a great relationship with the Queen. She liked me and I liked her. She was an amazing woman.”
