As a result, insiders have revealed a shocking warning issued to Queen Elizabeth. Learn about the caution the frail royal received. Get the latest news about the Queen below.
Queen Elizabeth Looks Forward To Her Platinum Jubilee
In the first week of June, a Platinum Jubilee party at the Palace will star Queen Elizabeth in all her glory. But even as the party planners prep, insiders warn that the Queen’s ill health concerns her royal relatives. As a result, those close to Elizabeth keep urging her to get rest before the festivities begin, reported Us magazine. But convincing the Queen to cut back on public appearances has been challenging.
“The Queen has been advised by her loved ones and trusted advisors to go a lot easier on herself, even if it means missing more functions than she would like,” shared the insider. “Her attendance at these events is being handled on a case-by-case basis.” For instance, if Elizabeth feels tired on a day packed with events, she seeks out her son Prince Charles to fill in. “So if she isn’t 100 percent on any given day that she’s due to be somewhere in person, then she turns the duties over to someone else,” summed up the source.
Because of her February bout of COVID-19, Queen Elizabeth continues to struggle with fatigue. And that illness remains “tough” for the monarch to manage, added the insider. But despite her extreme fatigue, the Queen does not like to slow down. “[She] is still adjusting to her routine and charging up her batteries even now,” summed up the source.
Queen Elizabeth Won’t Let Fatigue Slow Her Down!
However, the Platinum Jubilee has helped the royal family convince the Queen to rest. “The other factor here is that she wanted to be as close to full strength as possible for the Jubilee celebration,” explained the insider. And the monarch has “been looking forward to [the celebration] immensely. By not [overexerting] herself, it’s giving her more energy to participate is as many of the events as possible.”
But with just days prior to the party, those close to the Queen will do their best to get her to rest. And she does recognize the significance of the celebration. Because Elizabeth devoted seven decades to ruling, she ranks as the commonwealth’s longest-reigning monarch. And the Queen also will become the first British royalty to qualify for a Platinum Jubilee. As a result, she will try to relax before the party begins on June 2. Held over a four-day weekend, the celebrations wind down on June 5.
