Queen Elizabeth

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom might be spending the next several days in a hospital bed but thankfully there is one monarch who is both willing and ready to assure the nation that it’s best right now to keep calm and carry on (but at home). Of course, that person is Queen Elizabeth. There are new reports that say the Queen is being given hourly updates on the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson as his intensive care treatment for coronavirus continues.

Queen Elizabeth Is Getting Hourly Updates On Boris Johnson: UK Prime Minister In Intensive Care Treatment

According to reports, the 55-year-old leader has been moved to the intensive care unit of St. Thomas Hospital in London after his coronavirus symptoms worsened. As of press time, the novel coronavirus has infected 1.4 million people in over 150 countries and has also claimed the lives of 82,080. In the United Kingdom, over 60,000 people have tested positive for the virus, with a death toll of 7,097. That number is expected to rise in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth, who has been highly praised for calm demeanor and positive message of hope and unity during her televised address to the UK on Sunday night, is being given updates on Boris Johnson’s condition multiple times a day.

British Royal News: Queen Elizabeth In Self-Isolation

Speaking to Fox News, royal correspondent Sean O’Neil offered, “She has been updated hourly on his condition and has asked to be told details of his condition on an hourly basis while she self-isolates.

She has also offered her own personal medical team to be on hand if required or requested. She has great respect for Boris as her Prime Minister and has a very soft spot for him after some fun and informal meetings which they shared.”

Queen Elizabeth is expected to spend the coming weeks in self-quarantine at Windsor Castle. Prince Charles announced late last month that he had tested positive for the coronavirus as well. He has since made a full recovery and is back to work.
