Queen Elizabeth Looks Smashing In Her First Appearance Since March

Queen ElizabethBritish royal family news reveals Queen Elizabeth looked fit as a fiddle today as she made her first public visit since going into isolation. She appeared with her grandson Prince William and it was her first such outing since March 2020.

Her Majesty was beaming on her walkabout at the United Kingdom Defence Science and Technology Laboratory where she and William officially opened the new Energetics Analysis Centre.

The 94-Year-Old Queen Elizabeth Has Made Her First Official Engagement Since The Coronavirus Pandemic

The sprightly queen was resplendent in a bright pink overcoat and matching hat festooned with a cheerful sprig of magenta flowers. Like much of the world she went into isolation seven months ago, as a precaution against COVID-19. From her home, she kept up her work pace and made many video calls, including one that reassured an anxious country that everything would be ok in the end.

In March the Queen moved from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle and she and her husband Prince Philip settled in with a small group of staff.

Queen Elizabeth Kept Up Her Infamous Work Ethic Even In Isolation

During her isolation, she knighted 100-year-old Captain Tom Moore who became a nationwide hero by raising millions for NHS charities and she also observed a much smaller version of her official birthday parade.

In August she and Philip traveled to their Balmoral estate and in September they relocated to Sandringham. Today the Queen is back to Windsor Castle albeit without her husband.

What Kind Of Work Will Her Majesty Do From This Point Forward?

According to a palace spokesperson, the queen intends to, “resume the use of Buckingham Palace for selected audiences and engagements.” While she kept up her work behind the scenes, the younger members of her family have already returned to in-person visits and events.

Her first outing today underscores her commitment to resuming public duties and the joint engagement is a rare event.

The queen’s last joint appearance was with Prince William in 2017. At that time they met victims of the devastating Grenfell Tower fire as well as emergency services staff who fought the blaze.
