Queen Elizabeth Makes A Third Public Appearance In A Week

The Queen is on a roll: three public appearances within the space of days. The royal was rarely seen in public this year as a result of her ongoing mobility issues. When she missed the State Opening of Parliament for the first time in 59 years, it sent royal fans into a frenzy as panic over her health surged.

But a few days later, the Queen attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show, where her beautiful fell pony Balmoral Leia was named the supreme winner. As if one appearance wasn’t enough, she decided to top it up with two more appearances.

Her latest public appearance saw the elderly royal wearing sunshine yellow. I am living for this right now.

The Queen Delights Fans With Surprise Visit To A New Line Named After Her

Despite a previous announcement that Prince Edward would attend the engagement in her place, Queen Elizabeth visited Paddington Station to view the new Elizabeth line. She was accompanied to the opening by her last child Edward, who also accompanied her on her last two appearances.

Buckingham Palace previously announced that Prince Edward would be attending the event “to mark the completion of the Elizabeth Line, named in honour of Her Majesty The Queen.”

It came as a surprise when Edward arrived with the Queen for the engagement, with a Buckingham Palace spokesperson saying: “In a happy development, Her Majesty The Queen is attending today’s event to mark the completion of the Elizabeth line. Her Majesty was aware of the engagement and the organisers were informed of the possibility she may attend.”

During the event, the royal pair met the key workers on the project and those who will be running the railway. They were also joined by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, the Secretary of State for Transport and the Commissioner for Transport for London.

The Prime Minister openly remarked that they were “all moved and grateful” to see the monarch at the event.
