On Friday, Queen Elizabeth was seen for the first time publicly at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The last time the queen was seen was back in March due to health conditions. After recently turning 96 years old, it seems the long time royal isn’t ready to turn over her thrown to her son Prince Charles.
Queen Elizabeth Continues To Push Through Health Struggles
At the Royal Windsor Horse Show, Queen Elizabeth arrived casually dressed, sitting in the stands with Prince Charles after first watching the event from her car. During the show, Queen Elizabeth smiled brightly when she watched as Lady Louise Windsor, Edwards’ daughter, appeared in the parade. Lady Louise lead a carriage that belonged to Queen Elizabeth’s late husband, Prince Philip.
This year, Queen Elizabeth was reported to be struggling with mobility issues. Since March she has been conducting all of her affairs virtually. Last week, Queen Elizabeth missed the opening of Parliament. Prince Charles and Prince William, as well as Charles’s wife, Camilla, and the Duchess of Cornwall all attended due to her absence.
Queen Elizabeth Not Yet Ready For Prince Charles To Lead?
This has lead to many wondering if Queen Elizabeth will step down as her husband King Philip did prior to his death last year. A number of polls have been conducted in recent times with many Brits eager to see Queen Elizabeth continue to rule even while dealing with her recent run of health related issues.

When there has been some rumblings and doubts that Prince Charles is not yet ready to lead, Queen Elizabeth has shown support for her son. Yet, it doesn’t seem like she is ready to retire just yet. She recently made several statements that she is ready to spend the rest of her days as Queen.
“I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service and the service of our great imperial family to which we all belong.”
