Indeed, a small snippet from “Finding Freedom” noted that, “As they tucked into a roast lunch, the Queen made it clear to Harry that she would always support him in whatever he decided to do. Though a 12-month trial period had already been promised to Harry earlier in the year, their conversation was also a reminder that should he and Meghan ever want to return to their roles, they were always welcome.”
Prince Harry Doesn’t Want to Go Back To Buckingham Palace
With that said, one has to wonder if the authors of Finding Freedom totally ignored the many reports, which have suggested that Prince Harry views his move to Los Angeles as long-term. If Prince Harry’s stay in America actually turns out to be for a prolonged period, this raises a number of interesting questions.
For example, if Queen Elizabeth dies while Prince Harry is sojourning in Los Angeles, would Prince Charles honor Queen Elizabeth’s words to her grandson? Would he too be willing to accept Prince Harry back into the fold with no questions asked? What if the crown somehow skipped Prince Charles and fell directly to Prince William? Would William also be as magnanimous as Queen Elizabeth?
Could secret grudges or the view that Meghan Markle really isn’t suited for royal life cause Prince William (hypothetically King William) to renege on Queen Elizabeth’s promise to Harry?
Of course, none of these questions mean a thing if Prince Harry has determined in his heart never to return to the monarchy and is committed to that decision.
Prince Harry Lives It Up in L.A.
For those who are watching the lives of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle unfold, it seems more likely that Prince Harry will choose to remain in America. At least, this is probably going to be the case as long as he remains married to Meghan Markle. Prince Harry has made it quite clear that Meghan is his number one priority and so any career plans or hopes for the future that Meghan has will likely become Harry’s as well.
That doesn’t seem to be such a bad thing considering the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue to live in a palatial estate priced at £18 Million. They’ve been able to afford their own security, Harry and Meghan have recently signed with a major public speaking firm in New York, and their financial prospects look encouraging.
Therefore some believe that if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are able to live the lives they want without suffering a loss in terms of lifestyle … what incentive do they have to return to the British monarchy?
