But according to new reports, he and the late Queen Elizabeth the II didn’t exactly see eye to eye in the years leading up to her death.
As fate may have it, it all started when Harry and Meghan were preparing to tie the knot in May 2018. At the time, several rumors emerged as to hint at the oppressive atmosphere that lingered prior to the wedding.
First there were stories Harry and Meghan threw a fit when the Queen denied Meghan a pick of royal jewelry for her big day. Harry was said to have been so incensed, he yelled, “whatever Meghan wants, Meghan gets” – or at least some form of those words. There was also the issue with the bridesmaids dresses. If these dramas weren’t big enough to make you gasp, the latest one just might.
Prince Harry Was Reportedly Rude To the Queen For Ten Minutes Straight
Wedding planning can be quite a stressful thing, though I doubt it can justify the report that Prince Harry was “rude to [Elizabeth] for 10 minutes.”
This intense meeting reportedly took place in February 2018 – a few months before the wedding – and alarmed the Queen as to how “besotted and weak” Harry has become.

“The Queen was dismayed that Harry had asked the Archbishop of Canterbury to perform the wedding service in St. George’s Chapel without first requesting permission from the Dean of Windsor,” biographer Sally Bedell Smith wrote.
In addition to this, the Queen wasn’t exactly happy that Meghan had chosen to keep details of her wedding dress a complete secret. However, the thing that was said to concern her the most was the fact that Meghan and Harry weren’t working well with Kate and William.
The jaw-dropping revelation came much later in her substack, when Smith revealed that the Queen wasn’t exactly convinced that Meghan fell in love with Harry. Her opinion was that Meghan had skillfully engineered the whole affair.
If you asked the late monarch’s late cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson, who died in 2020, she would likely have told you that it’s truly debatable as to whether the Queen ever truly liked Meghan Markle.
