Tominey said in a video shared with The Telegraph that Kate Middleton is the “wife of a future kind and the mother of a future king,” which makes her a very powerful person. Tominey also believes that there’s no competition between Kate and Meghan Markle. Some people compared the two but the royal expert believes that Kate’s role gives her the advantage.

“You could say, when it comes to their generation, you could say [Kate and Prince William] are ruling the royal roost,” Tominey explained.

A report by Elle revealed that Prince William and Kate Middleton almost didn’t get their new moniker on the event of their wedding day. The titles Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were reportedly given to a different royal, who turned them down because of certain reasons.

The titles were given to Prince Edward when he married Sophie in 1999. He rejected it in favor of becoming the Earl of Wessex, which paved the way for the title to be given to Prince William and Kate Middleton 12 years after.
