Since leaving the royal family behind, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been involved in many media projects, from a children’s book, podcast, documentary, to a “truth-bomb” memoir. While, for some reason, the couple are delaying Harry’s “wholly truthful” memoir and a documentary Page Six billed as a “Kardashian-style” reality series, some of their projects have already made it into the world.

As a result of their many media projects, the couple have continued to support their multi-million dollar lifestyle independent of the Royal Family (Prince Harry said that King Charles had cut them off financially after their move).
Experts Believe The Sussexes Are Trying To Make Themselves More Relevant
However, many royal experts believe that the couple are making themselves relevant in Hollywood by spilling royal stories to the media and effectively tarnishing “Harry’s family’s” image.
Meghan’s recent interview with The Cut stung some, and royal commentator Kate Halfpenny lashed out at her for her “Trump-esque [relationship] with the truth”.
“In her days as the Suits star with a lifestyle blog, Meghan seemed quite cool, if California earnest.

When she found her prince, it was a genuinely uplifting story,” Halfpenny said of the early days of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s relationship. “But then our strange friendship started to spiral. She switched from Amazon to victim. She wanted more air time and money in her stupendous marriage. The in-laws who welcomed her, walked her down the aisle, became drainers fighting her every move.”
“So she got everything – freedom, a mansion, gorgeous babies. She even got to claim she craved privacy when what she wanted most were platforms to turn her grievances into content.
“This week was a blinder for Meghan. Having morphed from royal to entertainer – like her husband, who now specialises in cameos in his wife’s life – she dropped a chart-topping podcast with Mariah Carey and starred in a 6500-word essay in The Cut.
“The 25th anniversary of Princess Diana’s death duked it out for airtime with her daughter-in-law’s commercial offerings. For her interview, Meghan chose the same simple black turtleneck, minimal make-up and bold gaze Diana made famous in a 1991 Vogue cover. Was the duchess trolling the royals or paying homage?”
She then went on to list the hysterical claims Meghan Markle made on her podcast interview with Mariah Carey, including her comparison to late South African hero Nelson Mandela, her “sharing a “secret” … she might get back on Insta!” and of course, the shadowed threat of not signing anything that’ll prevent her from saying anything.

Kate Halfpenny Questions Buckingham Palace’s “Softly-Softly Sussex Strategy”
After Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah, the Palace released a statement saying that “recollections may vary” and that they’ll look into the couple’s claims privately as a family.
Apart from that, they’ve refused to engage with the couple on a public level. A move Halfpenny believes is not working for them.
She continued: “The Windsors had their problems with Diana, but what Meghan has brought to their door is different. She seems to believe she’s the princess reborn, a warrior soul taking up the Diana baton to fight for her identity against the anachronistic institution of royalty.”
“But Meghan is merely an entertainer. Diana was much beloved and – to the very end – an ardent monarchist. The throne is her son William’s destiny. She wanted that protected at all costs. I wonder how she would have felt about Meghan’s moves to use royalty to build her brand while trashing it at the same time.”
