Royal Experts Weigh In On Cold Reception Prince William Gave Prince Harry At Uncle’s Funeral

Royal Experts Weigh In On Cold Reception Prince William Gave Prince Harry At Uncle's FuneralThe rift in Prince William and Harry’s relationship remain strong and wide to this very day. Remember when Harry skipped the Duke of Westminster’s wedding so that he and William won’t be forced to be in the same space?

Well, now that there’s an occasion neither of them could afford to miss, they still refuse to come close and share a friendly hello.

In fact, the rift is still so strong that people present at the occasion say that both brothers didn’t even acknowledge the other’s existence.

Prince William and Prince Harry Refuse To Share A Word At Uncle Lord Robert Fellowes’ Funeral

Until Harry flew in from California for the funeral, nobody knew he would be in attendance at the event. However, the event marked the first time Harry has shared a room with his older brother, the Prince of Wales, in more than a year.

At the event, sources observed that both brothers kept their distance and didn’t say a word to each other.

Despite the sad reality of this, royal expert Claire Pearsall praised them for it, noting that the funeral of a family member is not the place for a reunion.

During a GB News panel with fellow commentators, Pearsall said: “Like most families, you’re always going to have the people you don’t wish to speak with.”

She added: “It’s also not the occasion for those two to have some kind of either confrontation argument or great big making up, because you take away from the fact that they were there to celebrate the life of a family member. It wasn’t about them, it was about somebody else.”

Royal Expert Claims “Damage is Done” In William and Harry’s Relationship

Speaking on the frosty reunion, host Stephen Dixon concluded that the “damage is done” due to the way both brothers kept their distance.

Commentator Nigel Nelson agreed, admitting that it’s sad both brothers are still at loggerheads despite being apart for several years.

Nelson told GB News: “I just think it’s a bit sad, on an occasion like that you’d think they could have a polite chat. We’re not expecting a huge hug and a make up, but have a chat. Just try and see if there’s any way of actually having a relationship. They’re in the same church, they should be able to perhaps sit together, have a brief chat with each other, maybe opening the door so they can get back.”

Pearsall, however, insisted that if there was ever a time for a reunion, it’s not at their uncle’s funeral.
