Royal Family News: 5 Biggest Royal Family Scandals of 2020

British royal family news reveals that the UK royals have had a heck of a year, as have most of us. The big difference is that their lives are played out across a world stage, where little oopsies become big whoopsies! Here are the five biggest royal family scandals of 2020.

#1 Megxit

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, stepped back from the royal family on January 8, announcing their audacious plan to dump royal life in an Instagram post. They claimed to want to divide their time between the UK and North America which is a grand pipe dream it has now become painfully clear. They wanted financial independence and vowed they would, “fully support Her Majesty The Queen.” The Daily Express polled readers about the couple and 98% of respondents stated they should quit their titles.

#2 Princess Beatrice got married in secret

On July 17 Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi pulled off a shocker when they got married in Windsor without a whiff of it being detected beforehand. The original plan was for a May wedding but the coronavirus pandemic nixed that.

#3 The Sussexes blabbered on about politics

Harry and Meghan provoked outrage when they went on national tv in America and shilled for Joe Biden, although not in so many words. Prior to that Meghan told a When Women Vote conference in August, that anyone who doesn’t vote is, “complicit … we all know what’s at stake.”

Everyone except them know that royals never discuss politics yet they did so to the point that a US congressman asked the UK to investigate their interference in the US Presidential Election.

4 The Queen didn’t wear a mask and the world had a meltdown

When Queen Elizabeth attended her first engagement following the pandemic lockdown she didn’t wear a mask as she proudly posed for pics. Uh oh, the global citizenry didn’t take kindly to her snub, with infectious disease specialist Sandra Kesh opining she should have worn one as it: “reaffirms that this is a shared responsibility regardless of your position or station in life.”

#5 The Markle’s signed a deal with Netflix who is profiting by dragging his family

Harry and Meghan made a deal with Netflix to produce content, something they have never done before but what the heck, they deserve millions for being inexperienced and uneducated, right?

Netflix’s co-chief executive Ted Sarandos said in a statement, “We’re incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere.” Regardless, most people seem to think the Markle’s plan to do nothing more lofty than a reality show about themselves.
