Two months after being named regent, Charles and his wife Camilla were the target of protesters who tried to pelt them with raw eggs. Rude.

“after allegedly throwing an egg at the king while the monarch was meeting with the public in Luton, 30 miles north of London.” Side note: protesters did successfully smash a pie in the face of Charles’ Madame Tussaud’s wax dummy.

Royal Family News – Prince William’s Godmother Resigned After Racism Allegations

Lady Susan Hussey, Prince William’s godmother and a Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Elizabeth was accused of racism. Lady Susan Hussey resigned after a palace guest, activist Ngozi Fulani, “claimed she was repeatedly asked racially-loaded questions about her heritage and background by the 83-year-old.” According to the Daily Mail, the Lady-in-Waiting met with Fulani to apologize for the “unacceptable and deeply regrettable comments” she made.

Also in December, Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, released an inflammatory and whiney docuseries on Netflix titled “Harry & Meghan.” Earlier in the year they got around to releasing a few Spotify podcasts. Enough said about that.

Royal Family News – Prince Charles’ Charity Fund Accepted 1Million Pounds From Usama Bin Laden’s Family

In July, The Sunday Times exposed the fact that, “The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund accepted 1 million pounds from the family of Usama bin Laden in 2013 (some of it in paper grocery bags). Clarence House later told Fox News: “The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund has assured us that thorough due diligence was undertaken in accepting this donation. The decision to accept was taken by the charity’s Trustees alone and any attempt to characterize it otherwise is false.”
