British royal family news shows that Queen Elizabeth is now under doctor’s orders to rest for two weeks following last week’s hospital stay. It’s been reported that the 95-year old has been ordered to perform desk-based work only.

This means she will not be in attendance at the annual Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on November 13. Nonetheless she has declared that she will attend the service at the Cenotaph the next day.

Royal Family News – The Queen Is Ailing

Last night royal sources said the occasion is very important to the queen and she views it as one of her most sacred duties. Her palace staff stated that Queen Elizabeth was in good spirits and doctor’s are siding with an abundance of caution in their orders. As if to drive home this point, earlier in the day she recorded a video message to be played at the opening of the Cop26 climate change summit. The event kicks off in Glasgow on Monday and she was expected to attend prior to the latest medical advice.

Despite the attempt to calm the waters, royal watchers are on alert over the monarch’s health. The next two weeks marks, “one of the longest, and most significant, absences as a result of ill health during her reign.”
