British royal family news reveals that motor mouths Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have taken a deep dive in the popularity polls after the debut of the former’s juicy tell-all memoir, Spare.
According to the Daily Mail, the pair enjoyed immense popularity in the U.S. but the scandalous book and Harry’s bizarre rants have turned the tide against the thirsty couple. For some reason Harry wrote incessantly about his genitalia, a fact that has social media mocking him and talk show hosts referring to his Oedipal complex.
Royal Family News – Harry’s Lost Virginity
According to the outlet, pollsters Redfield & Wilton gave him a favorability rating of +38 in its December 5 poll of 2,000 U.S. voters. That trend has reversed precipitously: the number is now -7. The drop was revealed in a poll taken on January 16.
His wife former basic cable actress Meghan Markle, has also recorded a steep decline. On December 5 her rating was +23 but that dropped to an approval rating of -13.
Royal Family News – Meghan’s Popularity Plummets
Harry’s non-fiction book is the bestselling first-day tome of all time according to its publisher Random House. But in the scandalous book, Harry indulged in a bit of revenge sass, making outrageous claims against his family. Prime among the revelations was the description of how his brother William assaulted him during an argument over Meghan.
As a result, royal pundits think that the couple’s invite to his father King Charles’ coronation is now in jeopardy.

Harry and Meghan came to the US after dropping their royal duties in 2020 in a move termed Megxit. But ironically, the poll found that only 33% of the population had heard about the contents of the book despite Harry taking part in interviews with Anderson Cooper, Michael Strahan, and Stephen Colbert.
The New York Times review of Spare sums up what many think and illuminate the popularity drops: “At once emotional and embittered, the royal memoir is mired in a paradox: drawing endless attention in an effort to renounce fame.”
