Royal Family News: Andrew’s Abbey Stunt Has Charles And William On the Warpath?

British royal family news shows that there could be a power tussle going on behind the scenes in the Windsor family. Prince Charles and his son Prince William are the next heirs to the throne and yet Prince Andrew is the one generating all the buzz.

What did he do to steal their thunder and will the father-son duo be forced to put the hammer down to ensure the monarchy’s reputation stays intact?

This week was the late Prince Philip’s memorial service at Westminster Abbey. He died last April and due to Covid rules his funeral was limited to 30 guests. This week’s event was a high-profile affair with 1,800 individuals paying their respects—the world was watching.

Royal Family News – Andrew Was Center Stage

Prince Andrew escorted Her Majesty at the ceremony and as her son he was entirely within his role and place. Except that as a disgraced royal who is damaged goods in the eyes of many, he was out of his lane. Andrew just paid millions to settle a sexual abuse lawsuit with a woman who accused him of the unthinkable. He maintains his innocence.

Andrew’s front and center appearance received mixed reactions. Former BBC royal correspondent Peter Hunt said that Andrew, “having such a prominent role is that it is a reminder of his many errors of judgment that have led him to being removed from public life.”

The Daily Telegraph’s Camilla Tominey said his large and in charge role may be, “a display of a mother’s love for her second son,” and a chance for the Duke, “to restore his reputation in the guise of helpful plus one.”

Royal watcher Robert Jobson, told People that the Queen being accompanied by Andrew, “shows she wholeheartedly loves and believes her son.” Not everyone was so charitable.

Prince Andrew Causes Dissent

Royal expert Dan wrote in the Daily Mail that, “William and Charles should have intervened,” and that after his audacious performance, “the knives are out for Andrew.”

A royal source told him, “Prince Charles and William were not happy with the arrangements. William in particular did not think it should happen and Charles thought they needed to protect Andrew from himself. But they both accepted it was the Queen’s decision to make.”

“Now, though, after the last 24 hours of negative headlines, the knives are out for Andrew in a way you can’t believe, especially among the men in grey suits at the Palace.” Maybe it’s time for Andrew to consult with another disgraced royal who claims to know about, “the men in grey suits at the Palace,” Meghan Markle?

Our Queen is showing signs of the ageing process but she did not need Prince Andrew to help her ,she had a stick which she didn’t lean upon. Andrew came in the side door to avoid the comments from the general public. If the Queen couldn’t walk she could have sat in a wheelchair. She is being helped by medication to keep her going .Andrew will keep a low profile, he has lost his support from the general public. He was in Westminster Abbey to pay his respects to his late Father and it was right that he was there.

A STUNT? As if The Queen was thinking about "slapstick comedy" at her Husbands' Memorial Service?
That is insane and the Press is just trying to stir up drama.

It shows an error in judgment by the Queen. Would the Queen have made this decision previously, I don't think so. We have all witnessed our elderly starting to make errors in judgment in grief and suffering from health issues. Even the youngest a fittest of us can't always make reliable decisions when we are struggling with health issues. Therefore I believe Charles and William are right to be concerned and do need to assist the Queen for tje duration of her reign to ensure people don't take advantage of her and coerce her into making questionable decisions.

Remember, this was a FAMILY Memorial, not a State Event.
The Queen did not have to invited the Media in to Film this very personal and private Family Gathering to honor the Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather.
If the Media was offended, they should HAVE LEFT.
