The outlet stated that Prince William spoke about his diagnosis during an engagement this fall. It was reported that he said he did not make the announcement sooner because he did not want to panic the country.

If he had made the announcement sooner, it would have coincided with a period of time that his father Prince Charles and Prime Minister Boris Johnson were both battling the virus.

Despite the news being widely reported, Kensington Palace has never confirmed nor denied the reports about William’s positive coronavirus test diagnosis. It is thought that William himself spilled the news to a person attending the same event as he.
