Royal Family News: Archie And Lilibet Are Still Invited To King Charles’ Coronation

British Royal Family News says that while no one knows if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be there, at least their kids are invited. There’s a new report that says the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children Archie and Lilibet are still invited to King Charles’ coronation in May, despite all of the drama surrounding Harry’s new book, Spare. Here’s what you need to know.

According to royal expert Gareth Russell, there’s a very good chance that Charles will leave the door open for the Sussexes to come back to London as he would love to spend more time with his two youngest grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. He hasn’t seen them last summer since Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Russell said: “We do know King Charles III has kept the invitation to the coronation open. And he’s made it really clear that not just the Duke of Duchess of Sussex but also Lilibet and Archie are very welcome in London in May for his coronation.”

He continued, “I think the doors are open, both sides are saying the doors are open. But I don’t think the channels of communication are going to be open for quite some time.”

Yet, royal historian Hugo Vickers thinks that it will be a cold day in hell before Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle attend the Coronation celebrations in May.Harry has made it clear that he has certain conditions before he will accept any invitation,” Vickers told Page Six. “It is always possible to reconcile if both parties are willing to do so … but I don’t think the Harry side will budge. He’s never wrong about anything. so that’s not a very good start.”

Interestingly enough, Vickers also added, “I do hope Harry won’t come, as it could deflect from the ceremony. After all, that’s why they don’t invite crowned Kings and Queens to a coronation.”
