Royal Family News – King Charles Like Fast Rides

Fast cars are a necessity for the rich and famous. For his part, King Charles owns at least one fancy ride, a vintage 1969 Aston Martin Volante DB6 MKII. People magazine said the car is estimated to be in the neighborhood of around $427,000.

Charles’ father the late Prince Philip once owned a 1954 Aston Martin Lagonda 3-Liter Drophead Coupe. He put the car, one of the rarest in the world, up for auction in 2016. Forbes estimated the car to be worth $640,000. But Philip had a practical streak as well, as he reportedly bought an eco-friendly London taxi in 1999, which he later donated to the Sandringham Museum.

Along with shiny horsepower, the jet set need fancy, top tier educations! Charles’ grandchildren, including his eventual heir Prince George, all attend Lambrook. Tuition for the three children of Prince William and Princess Catherine ranges from $5,300-$8,500 per term, a pretty penny!

But thirsty Kate gets mileage out of her threads! Take her Alexander McQueen black and green floral gown. According to Yahoo! she wore the $10,605 frock to the 2017 BAFTA Awards, and to the 2019 Portrait Gala.

Kate Middleton has given birth three times, each time at great expense according to the outlet. Is there any child that isn’t expensive?! As befits the future queen consort, Kate wife had each of her three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – “in the exclusive Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital in London’s Paddington section.”

On a side note, their father Prince William as well as Prince Harry were born in the same hospital, and suites can cost $14,0445 a night.

Royal Family News – Housekeeping Is Expensive

Finally, maintaining a palace isn’t cheap! As of March 31, 2022, the late Queen Elizabeth had spent almost, “$73 million on property maintenance, $3.6 million on utilities, and $1.3 million on housekeeping and hospitality, according to the Sovereign Grant and Sovereign Grant Reserve financial summary published on the British royal family’s official website.” That was just for one year. Also for that fiscal year Queen Elizabeth’s payroll was nearly $24 million. All of which goes to show that living and looking like a royal takes a pretty penny as well as a bushel of lettuce.
