Prince Andrew is currently in royal mothballs, wiped from the monarchy’s social media and forbidden to appear in public on behalf of Her Majesty. Guess who the British detest more than him?
Yep, Hollywood Harry the Fresh Prince of Montecito.
Royal Family News – Prince Harry Is Not Well Liked
A new poll shows that among British baby boomers even “Randy Andy” is better liked than the man formerly known as Prince, Harry, according to British pollster YouGov.
Their latest poll shows that the Duke of Sussex’s popularity with people born between 1946 and 1964 is a tawdry 12 percent. Meanwhile his uncle Andrew is polling at above 13 percent. Curiously another member of the royal family is stagnant alongside Andrew. It’s none other than Harry’s numerically unpopular wife Megan Markle. This is the bottom of the barrel, folks.
Royal Family News – Prince Harry Is Not The Most Popular Royal
This delightful trio have the distinction of occupying the three bottom spots in the survey that measures the popularity of a whopping 15 members of the royal family. Prince Andrew’s unpopularity comes amid questions about his relationship to dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. How low does Harry have to go to be less liked than Andrew? Harry just has to be himself apparently.
The UK pollster YouGov grouped its survey data from April, May and June to come up with the rankings. They draw respectable numbers for their polls, with the most recent sample including about 1,500 U.K. adults.
Amid all this talk of the most despised royals, who does the public like the best?
Royal Family News – Queen Elizabeth Is The Most Popular Royal
Queen Elizabeth is the most popular royal among baby boomers. With them she drew an 82 percent approval rating. Kate Middleton is a close second with an 78 percent approval rating.
Who is nipping at their heels? That would be Princess Anne and Prince William both drawing a 71 percent approval rating.
There is some good news for the mouthy failed princess/former game show hostess Meghan Markle. Among all polled individuals her approval rating grew to a whopping 32 percent which still means that more people dislike her than approve of her. Within that same population, Harry’s star rose to 31 percent. But deposed Prince Andrew was lagging with 10 percent.
The bad news for the disgraced trio is that even with the bumped up numbers, they still occupied the bottom three spots on the poll overall. Oh well, can’t win them all as they say.
