Royal Family News – Buckingham Palace Knows That Changes Have To Be Made After ‘Spare’

According to Harper’s Bazaar, royal correspondent Omid Scobie says that there are definitely conversations going on behind closed doors at the palace about Prince Harry’s new memoir and all the bombshell accusations that he’s made. One palace aide says, “The public-facing side of the institution may be putting on a dignified silence, but make no mistake that behind closed doors many conversations will be taking place about Spare and what to do next.

Yes, there is a sense that a lot of the things that came up, particularly pertaining to the Sussexes’ exit, will be forgotten in time … but the public chatter now happening about relationships with the press, and the actions that have come alongside that, may result in a more cautious approach in the future. A lot of people are watching.”

That, and it seems like Prince William is looking to change the way he operates, too. While the Prince of Wales does feel devastated, “He’s not ignoring the things his brother has shared. The dust needs to settle, but … this has been food for thought.”

In an interview with Good Morning America, Harry said that the rift in his relationship with William would have certainly left their mother in tears. In his book, Spare, he also talked about how he and William were unable to show any emotion as they met with mourners soon after she died back in 1997.

Also. while speaking to Tom Bradby for ITV, Harry put it this way, “Everyone thought and felt like they knew our mum, and the two closest people to her, the two most loved people by her, were unable to show any emotion in that moment. There were 50,000 bouquets of flowers to our mother and there we were shaking people’s hands, smiling,’ he recalled of the scene outside Kensington Palace following Diana’s death in 1997.”
