Royal Family News: Camilla Found Princess Anne Abrasive And Intimidating

British royal family news shows that Prince Charles’ second wife Camilla has not exactly been described as a shrinking violet in the press, nor has she been enthusiastically embraced by the public in general.

And yet, there is someone more brusque apparently than her in the royal family, someone who rubbed the bold woman the wrong way. Who has been accused of intimidating forward and direct Camilla?

Someone who herself has a reputation for being bold and direct!

According to royal watcher Penny Junor, Princess Anne “intimidated” her sister in law Camilla. According to Junor Anne is a “tricky character” who can be “abrasive.” Still, this doesn’t answer the question of why Camilla would feel put upon by Anne. According to Junor the friction between the two ladies may be down to Anne’s relationship with Camilla’s former husband, Andrew Parker.

Royal Family News – Camilla Was Dismissed By Anne?

Junor told Channel 5: “The affair between Andrew and Anne came to nothing but I think they were hugely fond of each other. And they remain hugely fond of each other. And I think Camilla has always had a bit of a problem with that, partly because of the affair.”

To be fair, Camilla and Charles had an affair while both were married so is this a case of the pot calling the kettle black?

Junor went on to say, “Princess Anne is quite a tricky character and she can be quite abrasive. Over the years, Camilla has been slightly intimidated by her.”

And yet the irony of this purported situation is that Anne and Andrew’s relationship resulted in Camilla meeting Charles.

Royal Family News – Camilla Is Charles’ Second Wife

Junor stated of Andrew, “It was while he was having a relationship with Princess Anne, that Camilla was introduced to Prince Charles and had a little fling with him. I guess there was an element of tit-for-tat in Camilla’s relationship with Charles.”

“There was the man she loved having a fling with Princess Anne. What’s sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander.”

History shows that Camilla married Andrew in 1973 after breaking up with Charles. Charles went on to marry Princess Diana in 1981 but they spilt up in 1992. Diana would later die in a tragic car accident and Camilla and Charles married in 2005.

This story has a happy ending as Andrew attended the wedding and is said to be on good terms with the royal family.
