Speaking to Express.co.uk, Director of David Christopher Jewellers, Mark Warr, says that the brooch dates back to 1909. It is set within a horseshoe and includes four sapphires, three rubies, and the word Minoru spelt out in diamonds. The horse Minoru was one of King Edward VII’s most successful thoroughbred racehorses and this was likely designed to bring him luck. It is even designed in red and blue, which are believed to have been Prince Edward’s lucky racing colors. As many fans know, Camilla Parker Bowles is a huge fan of horse riding.
