The documents stipulated that the only members of the royal family permitted to use the prince or princess titles were the children of the monarch as well as the monarch’s grandchildren via their sons. According to Marie Claire, there has been mounting speculation about Eugenie and Beatrice’s future titles.

It is unlikely that Beatrice, 33, and Princess Eugenie, 32 will lose their princess designations as Prince Charles reportedly has no plans for it, even after ascending the throne. Speaking on the matter, royal expert Richard Kay said that he doesn’t believe Andrew’s daughters will have a formal royal role “at all.”

“The Prince of Wales has made his plans for the future very clear, which is a slimmed-down royal family. Expanding it to include the York daughters to help the royal cause is unlikely to happen.” Kay added that, though the princesses would “feature from time to time” and that it seemed they wanted to, they had full-time lives beyond royal duties.

Royal Family News – Experts Feel Princesses Are Being Driven Towards A Public Role

Contrary to what Kay said, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie have been more active recently than they have been in the past. Prince Beatrice, for example, just attended the first World Dyslexia Assembly in Sweden with The Prince Couple’s Foundation, and Eugenie just launched her own podcast Floodlight.

Some royal experts believe there is a deliberate and “sudden PR push” to thrust the girls into the spotlight. Daily Mail editor Richard Eden had this to say: “It seems coordinated because they both happened in the same week. Behind it seems to be a drive towards a public role, which their parents have always wanted.”
