Royal Family News: Did Meghan Markle Get Sharon Osbourne Fired?

British royal family news reveals that Sharon Osbourne has exited the CBS daytime talk show The Talk after debuting back in 2010. It comes after a contested, on air discussion about race, a subsequent internal investigation and the show being taken off the air temporarily.

Now word comes that Sharon Osbourne is officially out at The Talk, she “has decided to leave” according to a statement from CBS and obtained by Fox News on Friday.

The exit comes on the heels of a heated debate between Osbourne and co-host Sheryl Underwood. Osbourne had expressed her support for Piers Morgan following his departure from the UK morning talk show Good Morning Britain after a heated on air discussion with the weatherperson about the March 7 Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

CBS’s statement said in part, “The events of the March 10 broadcast were upsetting to everyone involved, including the audience watching at home.”

“As part of our review, we concluded that Sharon’s behavior toward her co-hosts during the March 10 episode did not align with our values for a respectful workplace. We also did not find any evidence that CBS executives orchestrated the discussion or blindsided any of the hosts.”

Royal Family News – Meghan Markel Gets Sharon Osbourne Fired?

On the March 10 episode, the co-hosts talked about Morgan’s statements about Markle and Osbourne said during the interview that she did not agree with Morgan’s opinions, and asked Underwood to “educate” her about the purported racist angle of his criticism of Markle.

Osbourne later claimed that executives set her up for the controversial debate.

Following the episode, the show went on hiatus on March 15 in order to launch an internal investigation into the incident. The hiatus was extended multiple times.

Royal Family News – Sharon Osbourne Is No Longer On The Talk

On Friday, CBS said they will be, “coordinating workshops, listening sessions and training about equity, inclusion and cultural awareness for the hosts, producers and crew.” The show is set to return on April 12.

“Going forward, we are identifying plans to enhance the producing staff and producing procedures to better serve the hosts, the production and, ultimately, our viewers,” said the network.

Former co-host Holly Robinson Peete said on Twitter that Osbourne used racially insensitive language with her saying that Osbourne called her “too ‘ghetto’ for #theTalk…then I was gone.” Osbourne has denied the allegations.
