Royal Family News: Disgraced Prince Harry And Andrew Allowed To Represent King, People Outraged

British royal family news divulges that disgraced Prince Harry and disgraced Prince Andrew have occupied the same territory in recent years—the royal outback. Both have behaved in egregious ways unbecoming to the monarchy, and in turn have been ostracized to the sidelines.

Now comes news that Parliament has raised the issue as to whether either tarnished man be should be allowed one very key privilege following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

According to Us magazine, the BBC reported that the House of Lords questioned whether the pair should still be allowed to stand in for King Charles III on an official basis.

Hollywood Harry and the Andrew Duke of York are two of the five counsellors of state allowed to, “complete constitutional responsibilities on the monarch’s behalf if he is unable to do so himself.” Is that really such a good idea?

Royal Family News – Should Andrew and Harry Be Stripped?

The princes’ roles came under the microscope in Parliament because both men had either, “left public life” or “left the country.” Andrew was stripped of his royal role in 2019, “after being accused of sexual assault by Virginia Giuffre, and his HRH titles were stripped in January shortly before the lawsuit was settled out of court.”

Harry’s actions were of his own making, he chose to forfeit his royal life for a life of greed in America with wife Meghan Markle. They now live in California, seemingly ostracized by the VIPs they had hope to join forces with. Note to H and M: no one likes a snitch.

In February 2021 Buckingham Palace stated that the Sussexes would not return as working senior royals. The BBC reported that Lord Addington, “suggested to fellow parliamentary representatives that working royals should be given priority when it comes to the counsellor responsibilities. The Lord Privy Seal, Lord True, noted that the Royal Household would need to be consulted before any changes be made to Harry and Andrew’s roles.” Neither Harry, Andrew nor Meghan are working royals.

Royal Family News – The Working Royal Role

Lord True said to other members of the House of Lords: “The government will always consider what arrangements are needed to ensure resilience in our constitutional arrangements. And in the past we have seen that the point of accession has proved a useful opportunity to consider the arrangements in place.”

Who are the others who can carry out official business for the King if necessary? Charles’ wife, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William and Princess Beatrice can carry out official business for Charles if he is sick or traveling.

They are listed due to The Regency Act which deems counsellors of state, “as either the spouse of the monarch or the next four family members in the line of succession over the age of 21.
