Royal Family News: Distressed Queen Unable To Walk Corgis

Queen ElizabethBritish royal family news reveals that 95-year old Queen Elizabeth is reportedly finding it increasingly difficult to walk and her mobility overall is compromised.

Royals sources say that she is finding it, “extremely difficult,” to walk and even stand for lengthy periods of time. This appears to be the major issue behind her cancelling royal events and amending her calendar.

According to royal expert Phil Dampier, “It’s quite simple, really. She’s finding it extremely difficult to walk or stand for long periods.” What he told the Telegraph was further consolidated by sources who reiterated much the same sentiments to The Sun.

Royal Family –  Beloved Corgi’s

These sources allege that Queen Elizabeth has experienced similar troubles over the last few months. They say that she has not been able to take her beloved corgis dogs out for regular walks at Windsor Castle for at least six months.

She was hospitalized in October and her issues seem to have started at that time, if not before. The palace initially kept the news quiet but was forced to confirm the news once it leaked.

Will Her Majesty ever be able to do the things she once did with ease? One source said, “She is not well enough.” They added that, “The queen usually turns to her beloved corgis in time of crisis and stress and took them out almost every day after Philip fell ill and then died last year. They are an enormous source of solace, so it is a real shame.”

All of these insider statements corroborate what a source told the Daily Mail earlier this month, that the queen’s diary is, “under review.” She is still, “alert, able and interested as ever,” but Father Time is taking its toll: “physically, she isn’t as strong as she once was, which is entirely understandable for a woman of her age.”

Royal Family – Time To Curtail Activities

As such, the source added that the queen and her loyal aides are realizing that the time has come to curtail certain activities she once enjoyed.

The Sun previously reported that a wheelchair elevator has been installed at Craigowan Lodge in Aberdeenshire, where the queen is anticipated to spend time this summer. With her safety in mind, the residence will be outfitted with a modern and comprehensive surveillance system.

With the elevator in place, the queen can access her bedroom without using the stairs. According to the outlet, she will be spending, “much more time,” in Scotland after her Platinum Jubilee celebrations are finished in June.
