British royal family news shows that Dirty Harry is finding out what happens when you make enemies—they come for you. Prince Harry gloated about a lot of incendiary things in his January memoir—frostbit penis, loss of virginity, and illicit drug use. That last one—breaking US drug laws–is coming back to haunt him.
Now a US think tank wants to see Harry’s immigration filings to determine if he told the truth about his drug use—and if not he could be booted out of the good old U S of A, the place he calls bonkers for having a First Amendment that protects the right to free speech. In other words, Harry’s time in Cali could be coming to an end.
Royal Family News: Is Harry A Fish Out Of Water?
Harry’s immigration status could have “major implications” for his future in the United States, sources told DailyMail.com. The situation is so serious that Harry may hae to appear in court over the matter.
The Heritage Foundation is a research institute focused on public policy. It is at odds with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for trying to get a copy of the Duke of Sussex’s visa filings under the Freedom of Information Act.
Royal Family News: Think Tank Wants Truth
A think tank director and their lawyer told DailyMail.com that the immigration papers could reveal a sensitive diplomatic issue: “whether Harry declared his previous illegal drug use, and whether DHS officers gave him special treatment.”
Royal Family News: Did Harry Get Special Treatment?
On his US residency permit, Harry had to declare if he has ever used illegal drugs. A ‘yes’ answer often results in the application’s denial, or extra steps including drug tests and interviews before getting a special waiver to allow a visa.
What the world does know is that Harry, “admitted to taking cocaine, magic mushrooms and cannabis in his memoir, Spare, and in interviews.”
The Heritage Foundation believes that lied on his form or DHS gave him a special waiver, and either way the American citizens deserve to know. The group filed a Freedom of Information Act request on March 8 in an attempt to learn how Harry dealt with the form.
Royal Family News: Did Harry Lie?
The Foundation’s attorney Samuel Dewey told the DailyMail.com, “that DHS officials are currently scrambling to find records on the Prince, who has several different official titles and legal names that he may have used on his US immigration application. If Dewey doesn’t get a satisfactory response by April 12, he will sue the government in a Washington DC federal court.
Dewey said, “’Even if he came in through a visa, it still has to be cleared by DHS, because you also have to be admissible to the country.”
