British royal family news shows that September 8 marks one year since the passing of 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth who celebrated her Platinum Jubilee just three months earlier. At this point the royal family are firming up their plans to honor the late regent.
A source told Us Weekly that “William, Kate, and Charles are all still planning how they will commemorate the passing of the Queen …
On September 8 there will be an acknowledgement or event, [but] the details are still being ironed out.”

Inquiring minds may wonder if the royal runaways who made the queen’s life more difficult in the last three years of her life, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, will be invited or attend the event.
The source said neither is likely and that is no surprise given how the pair have tried to tear down the monarchy since their ill-fated Megxit.
On Tuesday Harry’s “His Royal Highness” title was scrubbed from the royal family’s website. Meghan’s had been removed immediately following their unceremonious exit.

According to the source, Charles will follow his mother’s example and spend the day with Queen Camilla.
