British royal family news reveals that Prince William, Duke of Cambridge may never recover from his reported rift with Prince Harry, which has been compared to the loss he suffered when his mother Princess Diana died.

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe wrote the book Prince Harry: The Inside Story and according to him, the rift is causing untold amounts of pain for Prince William.

The author told OK! magazine that William feels like he’s suffered a major loss: “There’s no doubt this is one of the hardest things that William has gone through, the hardest since his mother died. He feels he has lost his brother and his best friend.”

Royal Family News – Prince William Wants To Clap Back At Prince Harry

The rift rumors emerged in 2019 in part due to William advising his younger brother not to rush into marriage with ‘this girl’ meaning his now wife Meghan Markle.

The gap widened further in 2020 when the Sussexes announced they were disenchanted with palace life and were abandoning royal duty for a life of financial ease. It was reported that after the final details of the unprecedented decision was hammered out at Sandringham, William and Harry went for a walk to clear the air but no truce was called.

William also disagreed with the couple’s debut of their ‘Sussex Royal’ website even before the summit was held. The Queen made it clear they could no longer use ‘royal’ since they had stepped away from the luxe life, but in bratty fashion Meghan and Harry launched a verbal war.

They declared publicly that she had no authority and there was ‘not any jurisdiction’ over the use of the words overseas.

Al of these vindictive actions and words were said to be on William’s mind at the Commonwealth Day service last year in which the tensions between the brothers was visible. That would mark the last royal engagement for the Markle’s and they went out with a bang.

But none of that could have prepared the family for what the Markle’s did last month: publicly humiliate the royals in a tell-all with Oprah Winfrey. During the stunning mud fest Prince Harry himself admitted that he and William are on “different paths” which would seem to be an understatement.
