Well, apparently Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not get the memo because after the Queen announced that they would not be returning to the royal family as full-time working members, Harry and Meghan released a statement of their own. And for some royal critics, they took this as a sign of disrespect for the Queen. Here are three reasons why.

The Queen Is The Leader Of The Monarchy

For someone like Prince Harry and his extensive military background, you’d think that he would no better than to respond to someone of a much higher rank than he is. Yet, that’s what happened when he and Meghan decided to state “service is universal” after the Queen stripped them from their patronages. Let’s not forget here that the Queen is the leader of the monarchy. She’s in control. When you are fired, you are fired. There’s no clapping back and especially not t to your husband’s grandmother, especially when she’s one of the most powerful women in the world.

She’s Been Around Longer Than Anyone Else

It goes without saying that Queen Elizabeth is not only someone who has had the longest reign in the British monarchy, but also someone who has been in a leadership position far longer than anyone else in the world. If Meghan Markle thinks that she can outwit and out maneuver someone like Her Majesty, she might want to think again. This woman has seen more world wars, tragedies, presidents, life and deaths and now a pandemic more than anyone else.

The Queen Wants What’s Best For Everyone

At the end of the day, the Queen wants what is best for everyone. After all, this is still her family. Plus, this is her monarchy. She needs to do everything she can to make sure that the next generation of royals will carry on her legacy to the best of their ability. That is certainly not going to happen if the Queen has to deal with another Megxit situation, of course. It’s her job to keep everyone together, through the good times and the bad. Clearly, someone should have given Meghan a royal manual before she started the job.
