Royal Family News: How Can Queen Elizabeth Have 30 People Over For The Holidays And Still Be Legal?

Queen ElizabethBritish royal family news reveals that not even Queen Elizabeth is exempt from coronavirus restrictions this holiday season. As the United Kingdom enters its second lockdown period she, too, must pick and choose the select number of the family she can sup with. So, who makes the cut, who gets an invite to the queen’s dinner table for Christmas?

According to one source, “Prince Edward and his family will be one of the two in her bubble.”

Will Expecting Princess Eugenie And Her Sister Princess Beatrice Be Invited?

From December 23 to 27, COVID-19 restrictions will be relaxed across the UK so that more family members can gather together and open presents with each other.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip are expected to travel to Sandringham for the Christmas holidays and during this period up to three households are allowed to isolate or bubble-up together.

Might the Royal Family exploit a loophole that fits in with one of their Christmas traditions? It’s common knowledge that each Boxing Day the royals have a pheasant shoot at Sandringham and this could still go on without breaking government guidelines.

As the source explained to the Daily Mail, “If they go to Sandringham, their traditional Boxing Day shoot could still take place, enabling them to see members of the family unable to join them on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.” Sneaky, but it works!

How Will The Royals Gather Together On Christmas This Year?

It could be that Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Prince Edward, and their two children Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn are at Sandringham for Christmas Day while a bigger group assembles for the shoot on Boxing Day.

Under the guidelines, as many as 30 people can gather for the shoot if it is classified as an organized outdoor sports event.

Will Princesses Eugenie And Beatrice Skip The Sports Event This Year?

Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting and now living in the cottage discarded by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Frogmore Cottage.

This puts them in close proximity to Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson who likely will have their daughters over for Christmas. It has been speculated that since Princess Beatrice and Eugenie are extremely close they may choose to spend one last Christmas together before Eugenie becomes a mother.

Plus, as Eugenie is pregnant she is at high risk of COVID-19 and may wish to keep a low-profile this Christmas.
