The Queen Is Sidelined
Her reps relay that she has “reluctantly” accepted the medical advice. She was scheduled to journey to Northern Ireland, but the trip has been cancelled according to Buckingham Palace said.
Queen Elizabeth has been advised to, “rest for the next few days,” Buckingham Palace said.
“Her Majesty is in good spirits and is disappointed that she will no longer be able to visit Northern Ireland, where she had been due to undertake a series of engagements today and tomorrow,” the statement went on to say.
When The Queen Be Back?
The statement also stated: “The queen sends her warmest good wishes to the people of Northern Ireland and looks forward to visiting in the future.”
The queen was to kick off a two-day visit to Northern Ireland on Wednesday. The palace did not indicate why the advice was dispensed nor what the queen may be thinking about the caution. Will this medical advice affect her attendance next month at the COP26 climate crisis conference? There is no way to tell but we are sure she will make every effort to be present at the historic event.
On Tuesday evening Her Majesty hosted business leaders and politicians, including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, and appeared to be in good health.
Queen Elizabeth Is Resting
According to The Guardian the queen is resting at Windsor Castle. In April her husband Prince Philip passed away at the castle, surrounded by loved ones. He was 99-years old and the couple had been married for 73 years.
His passing was no doubt made all the more difficult by the current scandals facing the family. For starters, Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, deserted the monarchy in 2020 and since then they have non-stop criticized and dragged his family. Secondly, her son Prince Andrew is named in a sexual assault lawsuit.
