A friend of Kate’s told The Sun, “All Catherine ever wanted was a house in the countryside, loads of kids, dogs and an AGA,” which apparently is some type of fancy stove. “She wasn’t interested in having a big job or becoming famous.”
Kate now has all that and more. But somehow she has retained a humble demeanor while reaching great heights. She recently played the piano for a grand Christmas television special which she also hosted. Instead of coming off like a diva, Kate was rightfully praised as the girl next door.

Her friend added, “Family life is incredibly important to her, and motherhood has been the making of her. Now that she feels she’s achieved that, there’s time to turn to her public role and what she wants to achieve there.”

Kate’s initiatives include an early childhood research project and both Kate and William make numerous official royal appearances each month.
