Royal Family News – Prince Andrew Will Testify in Court Case?
The legal teams also, “requested assistance in obtaining testimony from Shukri Walker, who claimed that she spotted the senior British royal at Tramp nightclub in London ‘with a young girl around the time that plaintiff contends Prince Andrew abused her in London after visiting Tramp Nightclub,’” according to The Guardian.
Earlier this month Andrew’s attorneys asked, “Kaplan to seek assistance from Australian authorities in obtaining testimony from Giuffre’s husband, Robert, and Judith Lightfoot, her psychologist. The embattled royal’s legal team contends that both live in Australia.”
Prince Andrew Has Been Accused of Sexual Assault
Thus, Kaplan’s formal request is not a bombshell as lawyers from both sides have requested his assistance in obtaining testimony for witnesses abroad.
Giuffre filed the lawsuit against Prince Andrew last August. In the suit she alleges that he committed battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress upon her. Andrew’s legal team filed his response to the allegations on January 26. He denies any wrongdoing and in the “answer and affirmative defense” he denied being a co-conspirator of Jeffrey Epstein.
Royal Family News – The Prince Denies Charges Against Him
Giuffre has accused Andrew’s friends, dead convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell of, “forcing her into a sexual encounter with Andrew 20 years ago, when she was aged 17.” She claims that Andrew, “engaged in sexual misconduct with her on several other occasions,” and that Epstein, “trafficked girls to him,” including herself.
Epstein was arrested in 2019 for sex trafficking girls as young as 14 and he killed himself approximately one month later, pending a sex-trafficking trial.
Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking and related charges in December, “for bringing girls as young as 14 to Epstein, for him to sexually abuse.” This month Andrew asked for the case to be dismissed, which the judge refused. Hours later Buckingham Palace issued an extraordinary and historic statement: “With the Queen’s approval and agreement, the Duke of York’s military affiliations and royal patronages have been returned to the Queen. The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.”
