Kate Middleton And Prince William British royal family news shows that today Prince William and Kate Middleton, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, had warm words for the, “friendship between the UK and Ireland,” in a St Patrick’s Day video for the Irish government.

Kate looked stunning in an emerald green blazer and shamrock necklace and said, “We’re delighted to wish you all a very Happy St Patrick’s Day.”

Next William quipped that Kate, “got the easy bit,” as he said Happy St. Patrick’s Day in Irish Gaelic: “Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh.”

The Cambridges recorded the message in London and were joined by world leaders in the video including President Joe Biden, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand.

The couple were in Ireland in 2020 and William said, “We were so thrilled to be able to visit Ireland just over a year ago, a few short weeks before all of our lives were turned upside down by the pandemic.”

“We know that for Irish people all around the world today won’t be the same as normal, but we hope that you can celebrate safely in any case.”

Kate added, “The warm welcome that we received everywhere was a testament to the friendship between our two countries and the strength of the relationship between the UK and Ireland.”

Kate and William performed their first official tour of Ireland in March 2020. They visited Dublin’s Garden of Remembrance and the Guinness Storehouse among other sights.

The Queen yesterday extended her own warm wishes to the Irish people ahead of St. Patrick’s Day.

Her message emphasized the importance of family and partnership, and she sent her best to Irish President Michael D. Higgins as well as to the people of Ireland.

She talked about her 2011 visit to Ireland and said, “On the occasion of your National Day, I would like to convey to Your Excellency my congratulations, together with my best wishes to the people of Ireland.”

“This year marks ten years since my visit to Ireland, which I remember fondly, and it marks a significant centenary across these islands.”

“’We share ties of family, friendship and affection – the foundation of our partnership that remains as important today as ten years ago.”

She also invoked the Irish language to sign off with the words, “La Fheile Padraig sona daoibh go leir.”
