Apparently, Kate expressed her concerns to Harry after he brought his then-fiancé to their Norfolk home for Christmas in 2017. The Cambridge’s liked how Meghan interacted with their kids but wondered about her treatment of her own family.

Believe it or not, Prince Harry once told BBC Radio 4’s Today that his loved ones were, “the family I suppose that she’s never had,” an incredible statement is given what has transpired since. Then again, she has treated his family awfully, exactly as she is estranged from her family so maybe it all makes sense in a twisted kind of way.
Ingrid Seward, editor in chief of Majesty Magazine told The Sun, “She could not understand why Harry had never met his future father-in-law, nor why Meghan, who Harry assured was The One and “ticked all his boxes”, appeared embarrassed about her family and unwilling to speak about them apart from her mother.”

The expert added that Kate worried about Meghan’s relationship with her father early on, appearing, “unwilling to speak,” about her dad to anyone.
Meghan was six years old when her parents divorced and she lived with her mother until she was a teenager when she moved in with Thomas. No explanation has been given for the sudden change.
Doria was present when Meghan married Prince Harry at St. George’s Chapel in 2018 but Thomas was not.

In March Thomas denied his daughter’s incendiary claims to Oprah Winfrey and the world that he had “betrayed” her and labeled Harry “snotty.” On Good Morning Britain, he said that he’s apologized to his uninterested daughter, “100 times,” for dealing with a paparazzi photographer before the Royal Wedding. He also stated his desire to see his grandson Archie and noted that the couple now lives less than 100 miles from his Mexico home. Will Thomas ever get to see the grandson he has yet to meet? Meghan is now pregnant so there could be another grandchild he will never meet.
