British royal family news reveals that Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge is not known for making many public mistakes. She is generally seen as a picture of grace and good judgement but according to Kate herself, she made a whopper of a mistake on Christmas day 2019.

That was when she, her husband, Prince William, and other senior members of the royal family took their annual Christmas morning walk to St. Mary Magdalene in Sandringham to attend services with the locals.

The day was significant in part because Will and Kate’s two oldest kids, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, made the Christmas walk with them for the first time.

Christmas 2019 Was A Big Year For The Cambridge Family Because Prince William And Kate Middleton Allowed Their Two Oldest Children To Join In The Walk To Church

Each year the senior royals make a Christmas walk to attend services at St. Mary Magdalene church although the queen herself is driven. This year the walk did not take place for the first time in 33 years because most of the royals did not attend due to COVID precautions. The queen and her husband Prince Philip remain in isolation together.

It’s hard to find fault with Kate’s look, but apparently the princess herself did! That day she spoke with a 19-year old royal fan named Rachel Anvil. And Kate confessed to the teen that she wished she had made another fashion choice.

Rachel’s mother told Metro, “Kate was talking to my daughter about clothes and how she was feeling too hot, she said ‘I really shouldn’t have worn this.'”

The mom went on, “I’m there talking to Charlotte about dolls and my daughter’s talking about fashion with Kate. It wasn’t fake it was a genuine discussion, it was about a minute but it was tailored to my daughter, it was like speaking to a friend. They are totally different with the public.”

So there you have it, the Duchess of Cambridge felt her too-warm coat was not in her best interest even though she looked smashing in it!
