British royal family news divulges that Kate the Duchess of Cambridge openly shared her parenting experiences and advice during a royal visit. But she also accomplished a huge score for struggling UK parents.

Sheffield Baby Bank UK was the site of her royal visit last year and their CEO has nothing but praise for the positive parent of three.
Kate Middleton and husband Prince William share Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and Prince Louis, two, together. During her visit she debuted a new initiative in which 19 UK retailers donated over 10,000 new items to dozens of UK baby banks.
Cat Ross is the CEO of Baby Basics UK and she told Hello! magazine, “I think what struck me the most about the Duchess was her genuine interest.”

She added, “She genuinely wanted to hear of our experiences, she wanted to hear directly from families that had accessed our services, what their experiences were like and was really unashamed to share her difficulties that she faced in parenting and really been able to relate to families about what it’s like raising children with three children herself.”

Health visitors, midwives and social workers are the primary referring service to Baby Banks.

During the coronavirus pandemic the banks have provided significant supplies to struggling parents. the pandemic has put an unexpected crimp in their services however. Not only has it increased a spike people asking for services, it has restricted the ability of the banks to accept second-hand donations due to health and safety concerns.
Upon hearing of this development, Kate sought donations from big name brands.

Royal Family News – Kate Middleton Got Needed Donations
Baby Basics has 51 centers across the UK and there are now 27 brands who will donate to the charity on a regular basis. Ross called Kate’s initiative incredible noting that donations have, “absolutely snowballed since the Duchess got involved.”
She went on to say, “The Duchess has helped to raise the profile of baby banks and Baby Basics UK, we’ve seen more and more brands come on board and their support to us has been absolutely phenomenal,’ she told the publication. ‘It’s really exciting to see how they’ve embraced what we do and they’re really passionate about supporting us and supporting families.”
