British royal family news shows that Kate Middleton has stepped up big time as the monarchy is in a state of transition and interruption. This year marks Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee and yet there are storm clouds on the horizon due to her health and the scandals brought by Princes Andrew and Harry. Luckily the queen can rely on Kate to represent the crown as the patron of several charities and to go abroad to represent the UK.

As a royal patron, Kate Middleton supports diverse charities that help people in different ways. She has made childhood development a cornerstone of her philanthropy and last year launched an early childhood initiative. As a mother herself, Kate is especially passionate about events that revolve around parenting and child development, particularly as they relate to mental health.

Four years ago she partnered with the Royal Society of Medicine to launch the Early Years Intervention Support initiative and later that year she established the Early Years Steering Group. Two years ago Kate launched a national survey called “5 Big Questions on the Under 5’s” which collected valuable information on ways to help young children and their families.

Kate Middleton’s dedication and initiative have been recognized by experts in the field. Professor Eamon McCrory teaches developmental neuroscience and psychopathology at University College London and he told Express, “She is working with homelessness and mental health and with parents and perinatal care – she sees all aspects of the system … There is a growing influence of her work, and it’s likely to expand and have a long-term impact on the field.”

Royal Family News – Kate Has Been Recognized By Experts

On her royal visits, Kate often meets kids and this was the case when she visited the University of Copenhagen in Denmark to learn more about a child development project. The initiative is called the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project and during her visit she met up with some parents and their babies. She charmingly revealed that her husband Prince William “worries” about this part of her royal duties. Why? She told People that it’s because, “It makes me very broody. William always worries about me meeting under one-year-olds. I come home saying, ‘Let’s have another one.’”

Kate and William have three beautiful children: Louis, Charlotte and George. Kate has gone on the record with her experience of hyperemesis gravidarum during her pregnancies.
