Little 4-year old Louis delighted royal fans with his exaggerated facial expressions and silly behavior when he was seen in public. He was an animated tot, who had to sit through a three hour ceremony at one point, and as a result behaved like a, well, like a 4-year old! But not everyone was amused. As a result and by extension, his mom received both criticism and empathy over Louis’ behavior.

Kate Middleton and Prince William attended the Platinum Jubilee Pageant with their three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis on Thursday and on Sunday. News.com.au shared social media reactions and there were sympathizers and scolders. One post read, “What’s cute now isn’t cute as a teen. Parents have a short window to create the parent child bond. Meaning parents need to set boundaries n stick to them.”

Another person wrote, “At what point do we go from ‘wow, what a relatable toddler moment’ to ‘wow, you have no control of your children?”

Another shared, “Kids have short attention spans, even the most well behaved 4 year old will have their moments and most of the time it will be at the worst possible moment, give the lady some slack I raised 3 boys they can go from angel to devil in 3.5seconds.”

The Sydney Morning Herald ran an op-ed supporting Kate that read in part: “I read the books, I listened to the podcasts, I consulted the experts, and still that kid had tantrums in public and said inappropriate things to strangers. (‘Hello, fat old lady!’).” Now we want to hear your opinion on Louis’ behavior!
