British royal family news reveals that in the popularity sweepstakes there is good news and bad news for Kate Middleton Duchess of Cambridge. The bad news is that Princess Victoria of Sweden has usurped Kate’s role as the most popular royal in a poll, but Kate trounced Meghan Markle who came in fourth place (is she even royal?).
Royal Family News – Kate Middleton Is No Longer The Most Popular Royal
Both Kate and Princess Victoria were seen frequently last year despite the COVID pandemic. Both ladies were ever-present to reassure the public and served as soothing presences.
The latest royal popularity poll was conducted by German magazine Frau Im Spiegel. They asked 1,000 women in Germany to rank the most popular princesses and young queens. While Victoria came out on top with 18 percent of the vote, Kate was very closely behind with 16 percent of the vote. In third place was Queen Máxima of the Netherlands with 14 percent.
Meghan Markle received far fewer votes scoring a single digit popularity ranking with eight percent of the vote. She was in America in 2020 with her husband Prince Harry and their son Archie in a starter mansion in Montecito, California. Some may question why she was even in the poll, as both adults formally stepped down as senior royals; although they did arrange for an LA photo op to show them delivering food for COVID shut-ins. Trailing Meghan was Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway with five percent and Spain’s Queen Letizia garnered two percent of the vote.
Three royals each had one percent of the vote: Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, Queen Mathilde of Belgium and Princess Charlène.
In sharp contrast to Meghan, Kate Duchess of Cambridge was lauded for her effort to help the country get through the COVID pandemic.

Kate and William are expected to once again home school their kids, as they did last year. She said at the time, “The children have got such stamina. You pitch a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake. You get to the end of the day—they’ve had a lovely time, but it’s amazing how much you can cram into a day, that’s for sure.“

Meghan Duchess of Sussex is the most popular female in the world! Hands down. She has personality, is charming, energetic, intelligent, creative, industrious, tenacious and beautiful. Harry is thriving in America because he has a supportive partner as a wife.
Kate deserves it, she has proved she is loyal to her husband and his family, she is doing her duty. I don't think she had it easy, like Megan she had her share of criticism but she proved she is strong and devoted enough to her husband and his duties and obligations to endure and succeed. She is someone people can look up to and admire. Oh and by the way I'm not German or racist about people's nationality or colour. I don't like or approve of people based on the colour of their skin, perhaps that's why I am fortunate enough to have many friends of many nationalities and my life is richer for them. People who judge people on ethnicity are sad and pathetic.
