British Royal Family News says that it looks like some of Kate Middleton’s friends have come out of the woodwork to defend the Princess of Wales after Meghan Markle hinted that her sister-in-law was just as formal behind the scenes as she was at royal events. Here’s what you need to know.

During the first half of the Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex said that when she first met Prince William and Kate Middleton, she was taken aback by how formal they were at what she thought was supposed to be a low-key dinner.

“I was a hugger and have always been a hugger. I didn’t realize that that was really jarring for a lot of Brits,” Meghan said. “I guess I started to understand very quickly that the formality on the outside carried through on the inside.”

Well, sources close to the Princess of Wales are now saying, “Kate’s a big hugger. She is warm and friendly and greets everyone with a big hug and kiss. It comes naturally to her to be like that.”

Regardless of whether or not Kate Middleton is a hugger or not, she sure is a gift giver. While it doesn’t look like William and Kate are willing to talk to Harry and Meghan again, let alone stand in the same room with them, they won’t forget about their niece and nephew over the holidays.

Nikkhah added, “And in one royal tradition that Team Sussex is still on board with, Harry and Meghan have also dispatched gifts for George, Charlotte and Louis, who are nine, seven and four. There will be no presents exchanged between the adults.”
