British royal family news divulges that King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla have released their first Christmas card as regents. The photo has sentimental significance as it depicts the royal couple at a special event mere days before Queen Elizabeth died on September 8.
Charles and Camilla are pictured at the Highland Gathering and the image was snapped by award-winning photographer Sam Hussein. In the cheerful photo Charles and Camilla enjoy themselves at the Braemar Royal Highland Gathering held on September 3rd.

The charming photo shows the King in profile, attired in a smart tweed suit with a red, green and beige tie. For her part beautiful Camilla is in a green suit and matching hat, with pearl earrings.
That day Charles opened a new structure, the opening Queen Elizabeth Platinum Jubilee Archway. The event celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee held in June. Sadly the Queen was not in attendance due to her declining health, which had been ongoing since late 2021.

The event saw visitors from across the globe watch competitors compete in the caber toss, hammer throw and tug-of-war. Also taking place were Scottish dancing and music.
While there, Camilla and the Princess Royal were given heather flowers by 10-year-old Chloe Guy and 12-year-old Cassie Stewart. Each is a member of the Braemar Royal Highland Society’s dancing class.
Camilla then placed a some of the flowers in her buttonhole, and royal fans will see the flowers in the couple’s Christmas card photo.
Royal Family News – Charles and Camilla Are Regents
As regents King Charles and the Queen Consort have kept up a busy schedule. Last week they visited with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney when they toured visited the Wrexham AFC football club owned by the actors. That day the royal couple also met with players and staff.
Prior to the meet up, Reynolds and McElhenney joked that they took etiquette lessons before meeting the King. Reynolds told the media, “I would say that we’re impossibly excited to welcome him to the Racecourse ground, this historic church that resides in the heart of Wrexham and is the heart of Wrexham. Rob and I both said early on, and this holds true and for the rest of our lives, we will do anything to uplift and elevate this community and this club and having the King pay a visit is certainly one way to do it. That’s for sure. Very excited.”
