According to The Mail on Sunday the coronation service takes place next year at Westminster Abbey. And it will bear the trademark “slimmed down” monarchy that Charles has become famous for.

The ceremony is said to be one hour as opposed to the standard three. Additionally the guest list will be pared from around 8,000 to 2,000.

While the 1953 Coronation required the Queen to make various outfit changes, a source said King Charles is unlikely to do the same and the language will be adapted so as to be understandable to a more modern audience.” Really.
