May 6 has special meaning for Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles. On May 6, 2023 she and Charles will participate in an official coronation ceremony. It will be a day to remember for several reasons, including the fact it is her daughter Laura’s wedding anniversary.

In 2006, Laura, now 44, wed accountant Harry Marcus George Lopes at St. Cyriac’s Church in Lacock, Wiltshire.

Royal Family News – May 6 Will Become A Special Date In Royal History

Now Camilla will have two occasions to commemorate as that is the day she will be crowned as the queen consort.  This week Buckingham Palace announced the date of the coronation: “the Coronation of His Majesty The King will take place on Saturday 6th May, 2023. The Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, London, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Ceremony will see His Majesty King Charles III crowned alongside The Queen Consort. The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry. Further details will be announced in due course.”

And, as some have noted, May 6 is the birthday of the 3-year-old, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Prince Harry’s eldest child was born on May 6, 2019 at the Portland Hospital for Women and Children in London, England, before he and his wife threw away their tiaras for a life in America.

But wait, there’s more! “May 6 is also the wedding anniversary of King Charles’s late aunt, Princess Margaret, who tied the knot with Antony Armstrong-Jones on May 6, 1960 at Westminster Abbey.”

So, all in all, May 6 is shaping to be a laden with meaning and sentiment for the royal family!
