British royal family news reveals that there is some confusion surrounding what happened last Thursday at Balmoral following Queen Elizabeth’s death at the age of 96. First Buckingham Palace announced that Her Majesty’s doctors were putting her under medical supervision due to health concerns. Of course her loved ones immediately dropped everything and rushed to be with her.
By sheer coincidence Harry and Meghan were in the UK due to business and were to attend an event that evening. According to Cosmopolitan, reports indicated that, “Meghan Markle would join Prince Harry as he traveled to Scotland to be at his grandmother’s side, that turned out not to be the case.”

Much has been made of the fact that Meghan did not travel with Harry, who sadly was too late to have a final goodbye with her grandmother. A palace source told Page Six: “Tensions were so high and there was no way Meghan could have gone to Balmoral. The fact the Sussex camp did say both Harry and Meghan were going — and then quickly retracted that statement — will tell you everything you need to know about the drama behind the scenes.”
Any drama is down to the Sussexes who have brutally dragged the monarchy for two years, the apex coming during a nasty tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Now a royal source has spoken to illuminate further what was going on behind the scenes that fateful day.

The source told The Sun that, “Charles told Harry that it wasn’t right or appropriate for Meghan to be in Balmoral at such a deeply sad time … made it very, very clear Meghan would not be welcome.”
“It was pointed out to him that Kate [Middleton] was not going and that the numbers really should be limited to the very closest family,” the insider added. If Princess Kate, who will one day be queen, held back, surely Meghan’s attendance would not be expected?
And yet despite all of the turmoil that the Sussexes have rained down on the monarchy, Prince William showed he was the bigger person when all was said and done.

That’s because William invited the Sussexes to join him and Kate Middleton to view the floral tributes left outside Windsor Castle. “A source told People that Will, who was recently named Prince of Wales, wanted Harry and Meghan to join him for the walkabout as an important show of unity at an incredibly difficult time for the family.” How did the Markle’s respond? By complaining that the invite came, “at the 11th hour.”
