Royal expert Richard Kay has spoken out about Charles’ future and contends that he may make a bold move in the coming months. The Royal watcher contends that, “there cannot be a royal future,” for Andrew, but claims that Charles could take his younger sibling under his wing.

According to Kay, “Some years ago Charles ruefully said of his brother, then in the middle of some other mishap, that what Andrew really wanted was ‘to be me.’ He suggested to his mother that perhaps the younger prince, who for many years had been heir in line to the throne, should work for him.”

In February the queen stripped Andrew of his royal titles due to conduct unbecoming to the crown–alleged illegal behavior. Andrew was sued by a woman who claimed he sexually abused her when she was a minor and Andrew paid her in a multimillion dollar out of court settlement that meant he would not have to appear in a courtroom to give his side of the story. Andrew claims he is innocent.

Even against this background, Kay wonders if, “a dutiful Andrew could make amends for his mistakes.”

According to OK! an insider said of Andrew, “There is no new title and apparently no way back into the fold. Instead, he just gets the (queen’s) dogs. At least he’s got plenty of time on his hands after stepping back from royal duties amid the controversy surrounding his friendship with pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. He’s been spending most of it horse riding but will now be able to get out for walks with the dogs too.”
