Royal Family News reveals that King Charles was back to work in London, Wednesday, and held an audience at Buckingham Palace with the new Prime Minister Liz Truss (via Hello!). The new sovereign took her on a tour of one of the many rooms in the Palace and fans will notice the family photos on display there.

If one looks at the still images, Liz’s arms hide the frames lying on the table behind her, a video shared on Twitter by ITV’s Lizzie Robinson gives fans a peek into who the King chose to be in the pictures. In one photo, is Charles’s son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle on their wedding day back in 2018.

Line of Succession – ‘To Start A New Decade’

The photo was captured after their wedding ceremony at St. George’s Chapel and it shows some of the Sussex’s immediate family, including King Charles, Camilla, Queen Consort, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and Doria Ragland. Also in the image, taken by Alexi Lubomirski who later shared it on Instagram, are the bridesmaids and page boys, featuring Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Express UK notes another image showing the line of succession, with the late Queen Elizabeth II standing next to Charles as well as Prince William and his eldest Prince George. The image was reportedly captured in 2020 by British photographer Ranald Mackechnie “to mark the start of a new decade.” He later shared the image on his Instagram account.

Will Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Be Snubbed at Coronation?

This nod to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle comes amid some uncertainly around Charles’ coronation with experts predicting that the Sussexes could face a “royal snub,” yet again. They could be excluded from joining the Royal Family on the balcony at Buckingham Palace (via GoodToKnow).

A source said that the King is planning a “slimmed down” version of a coronation ceremony. That means that there will likely be only select members of the Royal Family on the balcony. Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have stepped down as senior royals, they have been excluded from many public affairs such as Trooping the Colour at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
