Royal Family News: King Charles In Charge, Has His First Public Meltdown

British royal family news shows that Prince Charles is under an unholy amount of pressure, having become monarch last Thursday upon the death of his mother 96-year old mother Queen Elizabeth. It is a peculiar yet inviolate custom that UK monarchs undertake one of the most significant moments of their lives while in grave mourning for a loved one. Such is the case for 73-year old Charles who is now finally, head of state, but the price of his title comes at the death of his mother.

Understandably, the pressure on him is immense. Today he took it out on a fountain pen.

Royal Family News – King Charles Is Strained

On Tuesday King Charles let his hair down, so to speak, when his fountain pen gave him a hard time. He was at a signing ceremony in Northern Ireland when the pressurized events of the last few days seemed to catch up to him.

First King Charles forgot today’s date. “Is it September the 12th?” he asked an aide, despite there being a digital calendar right in front of him. He was told it is the 13th, to which he replied, “Oh God, I’ve put the wrong date down.”

Adding insult to injury, his loving wife, Queen Consort Camilla, told him archly, “You signed the 12th earlier.”

In Charles’ first speech as king, he thanked his wife for what he assumed would be a lifetime of assistance as his queen. Maybe he was not expecting her help to come so quickly nor sharply?

After realizing what day it is, Charles then lost it over his pen. It began to leak ink prompting the harried man to say, “Oh God, I hate this,” then thrusting the no good, very bad pen toward his wife. “Oh look, it’s going everything,” she responded, to which Charles, “stormed out of the room, leaving Camilla behind while she was still signing the paper.”

King Charles was heard muttering, “I can’t bear this bloody thing what they do, every stinking time,” as he stormed off from the ceremony at Northern Ireland’s Hillsborough Castle. Oh my.

This is the second time that Charles’ pen has caused him grief. “On Saturday while officially being proclaimed the UK’s reigning monarch, Charles became irritated when a pen holder got in the way of him signing documents.”

Charles is in Northern Ireland for his tour of the UK as part of his introduction to the citizens as head of state. He will be in Wales next. Somebody please get the man a Bic.
